It is one of the most significant and important practices in the spiritual realm of the human being and one of those that can cause the most forceful and permanent changes in it at the level of cognitive consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-myriad-pro-light-font-family wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Archaeologists have found figures and engravings in India that have been traced back to the year 3000 BC, which show figures sitting in the classic meditation posture \u2013 Lotus Flower \u2013 so it is believed that meditation has at least 5 thousand years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-myriad-pro-light-font-family wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">The origin of meditation is at the origin of the Zen concept, which refers to the transmission of the light of Buddhist wisdom that occurs in silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-myriad-pro-light-font-family wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0;font-size:14px\">Around the 6th and 5th centuries BC different forms of meditation developed in Taoist China and Buddhist India. The latter is recommended for people who are starting to practice meditation. Group meditation is also practiced by people who are more advanced in their practice, who want to benefit from the great collective energy that is generated, since it enhances individual energies, giving rise to a different and very enriching experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-myriad-pro-light-font-family wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0;font-size:14px\">\u201cMeditation brings wisdom; Lack of meditation leaves ignorance. During meditation, these mantras are repeated with the aim of focusing our mind and directing attention. Very little is known about his life. Most Reiki books tell a story of your life that is not based on real events but on a legend. In our Resources section you can find recommended bibliography.<br>Mikao Usui Sensei was born on August 15, 1865, in the Japanese province of Gifu. He married Sadako Suzuki and had two children. He died in Fukuyama on March 9, 1926. Throughout his life he held various official positions in his native country, Japan.<br>He was a person with great spiritual concerns. His interest focused on having a direct experience of the healing processes mentioned in Buddhist scriptures.<br>Mikao Usui Sensei understood that an enlightened or conscious person contributes a lot to everyday life and considered that: \u201cif every house had a member who practiced Reiki, the world would be a different place.\u201d<br>Traditional Japanese beliefs regarding health and wellness are very different from those in Western countries. For example, the Japanese term for being healthy \u201cgenki de\u201d means being in the original \u201cki\u201d (there is no literal translation, but the meaning is mind, spirit, soul or heart), which contrasts with the term for being sick \u201cby\u00f4ki\u201d which means sick ki.
